Success with Scottish Ensemble

Chris Stout and Catriona McKay have spend a fantastic few weeks with the Scottish Ensemble recording and performing in Dundee, Aberdeen and Shetland.

In Dundee’s Caird Hall the duo and the ensemble recorded music for the upcoming album featuring the Sally Beamish Concerto “Seavaigers”.

Under the guidance of producer and recording engineer Phillip Hobbs the group managed to get an entire album recorded in just 9 hours!! Chris said ‘It was a fantastic experience recording with such a fantastic team of people. I’m can’t wait to hear the final mixes and hopefully get the CD out by spring next year!’

The concerts in Aberdeen and in Lerwick also proved a great success for the collaboration. Taking this particular concert home to shetland was special. Chris even managed to drag some of the ensemble out in the boat for some much headed fishing time between shows….
